Naomi found her calling in caring for others; she is currently a CNA at a skilled nursing facility in Anacortes. Seeing the difference she can make in other peoples lives brings her great joy and she loves working with her residents. Naomi makes it a point to get to know them as a person to make the residents feel more at home.
Joe and Naomi have been married for seven years. They had been dating for a few months when they realized the two of them had met as kids many years before. Sometimes people are just drawn together until life works out as it should. Naomi and Joe waited until they found Sedro-Woolley, the place they wanted to put down their roots before starting their family and welcoming Eli into the world.
Elijah Tiberius Burns is our precious baby boy. His favorite past times include using mom and dad as a jungle gym, watching Maroon 5 and Jimmy Fortune music videos, laughing / giggling, and of course trying to go anywhere he's not allowed.
Eli is a very inquisitive baby who is always paying attention to what's going on around him. He has become very vocal and still has not found his inside voice. About a month ago he started crawling around the house, and it's amazed us how fast he can move. Standing on his own a few weeks now (Early September) and walking the perimeter of his play pen holding onto the top rail is his new favorite activity.
Watching Eli grow has been the greatest joy of our lives! We are still amazed we created this tiny little human; we love him so very much!
